What's included in your online booking?

Boat trips will take approximately 25 minutes. Every passenger needs a ticket including babies. We cannot carry additional people without tickets. Please book your tickets on this page. The boat has a toilet but please use the facilities in the museum if possible.

Tuesday 26th May. Nature Crowns Construct your very own Nature Crown! Be inspired by your boat trip along the Regents Canal and look at the wildlife and nature you can see. Join us back at the museum to create images, cut, colour and stick onto your very own crown to take home and keep.
Tuesday 28th July. Canal Boat Makers. Collage, colour, and create your very own paper canal boat to float beside the London Canal Museum! We'll show you how to fold your boat from just one piece of paper - then it's time to get crafty. Decorate it with bright colours, fun patterns, and don't forget to give it a brilliant boaty name (what wonderfully, watery themed words will you come up with?)

Tuesday 18th August. Fish Weaving. Set sail on a magical journey along the beautiful Regent's Canal and see what watery wonders await. Once your boat trip ends, the fun is just beginning. Head upstairs and get creative with our colourful fish weaving activity. Pick a shiny metallic fish and use bright, colourful string to weave your very own underwater masterpiece!

Tuesday 27th October. Spooky Halloween Fun. Bring the whole family for a day of thrills, chills, and plenty of hands-on fun at the London Canal Museum! A perfect mix of history, fun, and Halloween magic - join us for a day your family won't forget.
  • Underwater Monster Crafts Head upstairs to unleash your creativity with our spooky underwater monster craft activity. Design, cut, and glue your very own creepy creature to take home.
  • Ghostly Boat Trip Climb aboard for a magical boat journey to St Pancras Lock and back. As you glide along the water, you'll be treated to ghost stories and eerie Halloween décor that will bring the canal to life in spine-tingling style.
  • Spooky Top Ten Trail The museum's popular Top Ten Trail has a ghostly twist this season! Can you uncover all the spooky surprises hidden along the way?
  • Scream Ice Cream Role Play Young visitors can play shopkeeper in our ice cream role play area-but beware! Parents, will you discover a creepy crawly lurking in your ice cream pot?

Charges 2026 are:

Adults aged 16-115 £10.50
Children aged 0-15 £5.50

If you are neither going on the boat nor joining the craft activities, normal admission charges apply. There is no need to book in advance

Museum Opening Times

1000-1630

Special activities in the museum are available from approximately 1030 and end at 1530 but exhibits are available until we close. If you book the 1445 or 1530 boat please arrive at least 90 minutes before the boat so as to take part in the in-museum activities.

Important Note

Children must be supervised by their accompanying adult at all times and cannot go on the boat alone.

Book seats here for everyone who wants to go on the boat. Your boat trip ticket also includes the craft activities in the museum. If taking the boat trip please allow ample time for the activities before or after the boat. The activities finish around 1530. Adults and children who are neither taking part in the craft activities nor the boat trip do not need to book and may pay normal entry charges on arrival.
