For this image we do have a contemporary caption: “United Carlo Gatti Stevenson & Slaters Ltd, Sutton Street Depot, June 24th 1906.” The men are smartly dressed in summer hats and outdoors, possibly on a works outing of some sort. The exact location of the photograph is not known, it may be that it was a picture of the depot staff but not taken at or near the depot itself. Sutton Street is located in east London.
