If your event does not include loud music do not read this page. Please see the availability guide instead. Please read this page if you are planning an event with a disco or other loud music.

The London Canal Museum is available as follows:

• Evening events with disco or live music for dancing can take place on Fridays, Saturdays, or when the following day is a public holiday. The finishing times on offer are given and the current availability of dates. These may change at any time as other clients make bookings:

  June - Sept 2011	All Fridays, Saturdays except 16th-17th September available to 2300 2400 or 0100, plus the Sunday of Bank holiday weekends.
  June -November 2011	All Fridays, Saturdays available to 2300 2400 or 0100, plus the Sunday of Bank holiday weekends.
  December 2011	2nd, 3rd, 9th, 10th, 16th 17th, 23rd, 30th, 31st (special pricing on 31st).
  The above only applies to events involving loud music. For events without loud music there is much more availability, please get in touch to check your date.

Why not consider these alternatives:

• A "silent disco" is new technlogy where all the dancers wear a light-weigh headset and the DJ plays music using a transmitter, not loudspeakers. We don't have a reccommended supplier as yet but if you put the term "silent disco" into a search engine you will find plenty of firms offering this. A silent disco can be held at the museum on any day of the week until 2300. Our charges are lower than for normal disco events.
• A disco on a boat. The Prince Regent is a luxury charter boat that can take you to Paddington along the Regent's Canal, on any day of the week, and a disco can be held on board for up to 80 guests maximum. The Prince Regent can depart from the museum at 2100 or earlier (not later) to arrive at Paddington by 2330 at the latest. The museum's mooring can only be used in connection with a booking of the museum. So for example you could book the museum for a reception, followed by a dinner ending by 2100 at which time some or all of the guests embark for a disco cruise, possibly leaving others to relax in the museum for a little while longer. Guests wishing to return to King's Cross after the cruise can easily do so by Underground or bus route 205.
